I find it interesting how people see the same picture, video, or statement and draw the exact opposite conclusions. Who’s right and who’s wrong?

Do we allow our own biases, hatred, pride, and desires to both blind and color what we see and hear, the truth merely an annoying buzz in the ear, or a soft shadow in the corner of our eye?

Is it anything new?

If not, can we truly hope for peace with those we can never agree with on important issues, let alone together solve the problems we all face? Heck, we can’t even agree on what those problems are! How can we then hope to find solutions?

No good decision was ever made when led by anger, fear, or hatred. Yet here we are.

And who are we to blame? Is it a politician in Washington? A nameless bureaucrat? A podcaster or radio/television host?

The devil himself?

Or should we simply look in the mirror?

The easy answer to your questions, as far as I am concerned, is yes our own biases, hatred, pride, and desires affect how each of us processes information, but, surprise, though the devil plays a major part in the process by constantly tempting each of us to make bad decisions, all of it is by God’s design. God gave us free will, so he can be sure that those whom He grants eternal life with Him truly believe in Him and love Him by living life in accord with His Word. But the good news is, because there are people who are willing to do what God asks of each of us because of their love for Him, thee is always hope we will be able to solve all the problems of the world by truly desiring to be more perfect disciples of His Word and working to convert more people to being devoted Christians who commit their lives to living a life, in every respect, in accord with His Word, and being truly satisfied by living such a life, even though at times it will not be easy to do so. It is all about having a loving relationship with God. Though you do not need to be perfect, you do need to want to be perfect, which means you need to confess your sins, when you slip up, and repent for each of your signs on the way to developing your relationship with God. It involves reading Scripture, meditating about Scripture passages, and prayer, wherein your reach out to God to talk to him about anything and everything in your life, the good and the bad, and celebrate with Him the good, find the good in the bad, and plan how you can make good out of the bad, and then act. It is about loving and having faith in God even in the worst of times and acting inline with HIs direction… share what you have with those who have less and making life better for those who are less fortunate than you, being sympathetic and compassionate to people who suffer losses and/or have mental, physical or economic disabilities, and being respectful, humble, honest, and righteous while living your life.

And, thank you for your posts and the opportunities they give me to gather my thoughts, reflect on my journey/relationship with God, and then share with you and your followers. It is cathartically refreshing for my soul!
