I have nothing to write about, something comes along.
In this case, the technical editor of AUGIWorld Magazine (Autodesk User Group International), asked if I’d be interested in writing an article. I’ve written one before about four years ago, so it appears they’re desperate (ha!).
The subject is my own to choose. I didn’t think I had the brainpower to come up with a subject, let alone write a decent article, but within an hour I came up with three.
So I have one week from today to write it, and include three (if memory serves) graphics. Looks like I’ll be busy until then.
Oh! I also sent off the first 15 pages of “Traitors” to the American Christian Fiction Writers ( http://www.acfw.com ) Genesis contest yesterday. I’ll find out between May 1-15 whether or not it made the final round. If not, I’ll at least get a scorescard listing where my story succeeded and where it didn’t measure up.
Anyway, got some research to do, so I’ll see you when I see you.

Wonderful that they came to you to write an article! Much better than searching for days for a place that will accept an article you want to write, right? 😉
Best of luck with the contest!
That’s true. I don’t have to worry about a rejection letter. It’s also unpaid, but I don’t care about that. It’s both good exposure and good practice.
You are so cool. I haven’t submitted in ages.
Wow, that’s cool your got a request to write an article! And good luck with Traitors!! 🙂
Thank you, Brandon!
Kara! My apologies for not responding sooner to your comment. I can’t claim busy-ness as much as forgetfulness.
That and I’m not using my computer much lately. At least not at home. Using one all day at work makes me often not want to touch one when I get home.
Andra, I’ve heard the best way to market your stuff is to write articles. Congratulations! Also, good luck on the Genesis. I entered also, and am waiting for them to say that instead of writing I should be driving a Pepsi truck 🙂 How’s the photography going?
Hey, I might join you on that Pepsi truck!
The photography is going well. I wish the weather would green up, so I can get out there and take more.
Good luck to you as well!
